Kim Munn

Kim Munn

OWNER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Dance has been part of my life since I was 2 years old. In my performing career I was lucky enough to be part of 10 national champion dances in addition to winning multiple solo titles. In October of 2002, I was also featured in the issue of Dance Spirit Magazine as one of the 50 national future stars. And although I adored my time on stage, my life truly began when I found my passion in teaching. My career as an educator includes many choreography awards, overall high scores, and national titles. But what I'm truly proud of is all of the amazing things my dancer's have gone on to accomplish. We have a ton of kids who have gone on to dance in college dance programs, on college dance teams, and Super Bowl halftimes, but also who chose other important roles as teachers, nurses, and entrepreneurs.

Outside of my life in dance, I'm passionate about education... I graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2002, and in 2005, I received my Sports Management degree from St. Ambrose University. To further my dancing career, I attended Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School and received my graduate diploma of dance education in tap, jazz and ballet. After a brief break in my education to begin my family, I found myself itching for more. I am a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB program, the Disney Leadership Conference, and most recently attaining my certificate in Organizational Leadership from Harvard.

My life's mission has been to create an environment where young people can learn who they are, and begin a path that leads them to changing the world. I have always taken pride in teaching my dancers not only the best technique possible, but also how to be the best version of themselves. My students, the parents and my amazing staff continue to make me a better version of myself than I ever dreamed possible - to be able to give even a fraction of that back is the biggest pleasure of my life.

When I'm not teaching, I live in Bettendorf with my husband Rob, and our unbelievable children, Sam and Maicey. The three of them continue to make my world go round.

Her favorite part of teaching is seeing her dancers succeed: seeing them smile when they finally figure out the right step and watching the joy in their faces as they light up the stage. In her free time, Jenny enjoys scrapbooking, reading, shopping and watching movies. She lives in Bettendorf with her husband Mike, daughter Emma and son Aiden.

AMY DEINES - YOUTH DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Amy's love for dance traces back as far as she can remember. She started dancing at the age of 2, and competitively at age 5, at Denny's School of Dance in Mason City, IA. Throughout her career, she won many national competitions, danced at Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm AND in New York. She was even chosen to represent the state of Iowa at Dance Excellence in LA. One of the other highlights of her career so far, teaching thousands at Oprah's Birthday Surprise Flash Dance in Chicago while performing downtown with the Black Eyed Peas. After college Amy attended classes/instruction at Hubbard Dance Studio-Lou Cante, and DePaul's Ballet program.
Amy believes in positivity, fun, family and creativity! All key elements of dance. It's her goal to instill her passion for dance within every child she teaches.
Amy currently lives in Le Claire with my husband Brian and 3 children-Kaleb, Rose and Jakob. If not at dance with her daughter, she enjoys her time at the baseball, track and football fields with her boys. Amy loves de-stressing with yoga, and familytime.
